AllsCherry and Eric, an Introduction
AllsCherry has been around since 2021, but I've never made a dedicated blog for anyone to learn about it so, here we go. My name is Eric Olcsvary, and I'm a comic book artist from Ontario, Canada; and I plan to make as much art as I can in my lifetime for the better of community, literature and the world!

Okay so what is this blog and why should you care? Well to be honest, you don’t need to care, and I don’t expect every one of you to take time out of your day too read this but, there are some things that have been on my mind as an artist, a person, and I guess a business man. I want to get the business man out of the way first.
Business man Eric started up AllsCherry in 2021 as a way to house his comics under a fun indie label, it slowly grew into a little community of my friends who all want to join in on events and anthologies I organize. It has since then, hosted three Anthologies, alongside two AllsCherry dinner parties and a couple of local “Art Crawls” as I call them. It’s been a blast, but there’s one thing that I know every artist struggles to keep up with, online sales, and I’m no exception. Most of my success has come from in person stuff, not merch, I don’t really like merch much. With everything going on the world right now, it’s very easy to simply have the convenience of slave labour to make your super cool merch, and kill the environment to give it to your audience. I could make ethically conscious merch but, I’d rather just make what I want to make:) That’s where my next persona comes in.
Artist Eric has had a very hard time juggling his own projects alongside making enough sales to survive and prep anthologies. Is he complaining? No, it’s fun haha. I quit my day job at the start of 2024 in order to pursue this experiment, and, with my current personal situation it’s been great, but I still need thought I needed to conform to the “meta” of sales in art. I decided to open a Patreon to try that out, it didn’t give, and neither did I. It’s not my style, but if there’s one thing I like to do, it’s talk and journal. So guess what this is? Instead of a Patreon behind a pay wall, I’m just going to make a blog along with my newsletter. Then, you can see everything I’m up to!
Eric the Person has worked very hard to get to where he is today, reminding himself every day that nothing is as black and white as the world says it is, and sometimes unconventional means are the very thing that make you feel alive. Alongside this blog, which I will write when I feel like, I will be sending out my newsletter as-per-usual monthly to give you updates, if you care;)

I may have some prints locally made of my work. Original art is also for sale, alongside my paintings and comic books. I appreciate any and all sales I receive:)
So again, why should you care? Well, as I said, you don’t have to. But, for every person that reads this, buys my books, and tells their friends about their find, you give me another reason to keep doing it. I have been an artist since I was a child, so I’m not stopping; if you enjoy it, that’s even better!
This year, I plan to release 3 comics! Overflow Book 2, Monster of the Abyss, and Time and Amoxiae. The latter two are actually written by someone else! I’m quite proud to be where I am right now, hired as an artist for someone else’s work. Here’s to many more! I’ll keep you all posted for more on the way!
Have a great weekend everyone:)
