"Starman Opus" - 2020
~59" x 26", acrylic on canvas with brush and pallet knife
“At the time of creating this, I was in a weird “what’s next?” limbo in my art. It was summer, it was BOILING hot outside, and all I wanted to do was make art. So, I threw on David Bowie, simply listening to every album in order and painting.
This painting is very much a homage to how much Bowie inspired my artistic practice and how much hope the music gave me.
The name is “Starman Opus” because I added in a lot of references to his albums in the painting, I was just having fun really!” - Eric Olcsvary
** If you require shipping, please inquire before purchase, this is a big painting! (^-^) **
